Selfless help for others<\/strong> – why is it important? After all, each of us has our own problems, why should we worry about the problems of others, after all, nobody helps us? This is a frequent attitude of people in today’s world. Everyday we focus on ourselves, on our needs. Career becomes the priority, personal development and our closest family. We are not interested in others, who do not have any direct influence on our daily routine. We don’t notice them, we pass them by, not seeing or not wanting to see the problems they face. When we see a homeless person, we look away “because he will ask us for spare change again”, “because I don’t want to talk to him”, “after all, he is dirty and we don’t know whether he will rob me”. We forget that they are people too, just like us. Exactly the same – only they haven’t had the same luck in life as we have. By looking at people who are worse off than us, we can appreciate what we have. Only then will we unleash the natural human impulse to help others<\/strong> to the best of our abilities and predispositions,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why is it worth helping?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Helping others <\/strong>is part of our human nature. However, many of us build an armour around ourselves that allows us to focus only on ourselves and our own needs, while becoming insensitive to the problems of others. But is this not a kind of surrender of humanity? After all, it is sensitivity to the suffering and needs of those weaker than us that distinguishes us from animals whose only aim is to survive. That is what makes us human. Where is the world headed, then, if greater sensitivity to the suffering of others is shown by a dog that stays with its owner when the latter ends up in the street than by a human passing them on the street?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Helping others <\/em>without expecting material benefits makes us feel better, we find the soul in ourselves and only then do we see the real priorities in our lives. We become acquainted not only with the problems of others, but above all with ourselves – a person we have not known so far. Mercy, understanding and listening to others allow us to get to know ourselves. Whether it is material help, spiritual help<\/strong> – prayer, volunteer work or just a short conversation – every form of support and help affects us in this way. Maybe it’s a small donation, maybe a conversation that brings a smile to a face that hasn’t had one in years, or maybe all it takes is for you to ask for something for someone instead of yourself during evening prayer? Try it, we assure you that it will dramatically and irreversibly change your perception of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remember also that you never know how your life will turn out and whether one day you will need help. When we give good, we receive it back sooner or later. It is also worth remembering this.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
