Zgromadzenie Braci Albertynów

How does the Albertine Congregation help?

In everyone’s life, situations can arise that make our future not turn out the way we would like it to. That is why we do not judge anyone who comes to us. We do not ask questions, we do not get into your past if you do not want to tell us about it yourself. We do not impose participation in services, we give you a free hand and want you to wish to be there of your own free will. We believe that by coming closer to other people, you also come closer to God.

Who does the Albertine Congregation help?

Everyone.

Everyone will find us shelter and support. We will help anyone who needs a roof over their head and a warm meal, anyone who wants to change their life, get out of addiction and return to normal life in society. We know that this is not an easy task! That is why we are here for you, to help you, to guide you by the hand and to help you get up when you fall again. We are all human, we all make mistakes – you should not be ashamed of that. What is shameful, however, is to pass indifferently by a person who needs us. So don’t be ashamed to ask for help! Come to us and start your new life!

Why should you come to us?

Not with every problem you are able to cope alone. We know that very well, that is why we offer help to those who have no one else to turn to. We reach out to people who are ignored by the majority of society, who most people pass by on the street looking away. We help overcome addictions and get back on their feet. We offer shelter, warm meals in exchange for help with their preparation, for help with daily activities such as keeping order in our Przytulisko, which can become your new home. We also provide professional AA group meetings which are voluntary – you attend them when you feel such a need and desire to change something in your life. The Albertine Congregation helps you to start a new life with a clean sheet.

The process of assistance provided by the Albertine Brothers’ Congregation:

  • Staying in the shelter: provided meals, accommodation, voluntary participation in AA group meetings and services, recovery from addictions thanks to the support of the Brothers;
  • Assistance in finding a job;
  • Assignment of housing: we have flats where our charges live, who slowly return to normal life in society. You spend part of your paycheck on housing, you learn responsibility and independence, but we continue to support you at this stage;
  • Full independence: Once you feel confident and independent enough, you can leave our wings and return to life in society. We will always support you in prayer.
