Life doesn’t always go our way. Not everyone succeeds. Illness, lack of love at home, addictions, financial problems … There are many reasons that can lead a person to decline, both material and spiritual. How many people – so many different stories. So before judging someone you pass on the street, think twice. You do not know what story his weary eyes hide, from what problems and unpleasant memories he runs away into addictions. Don’t judge – help. And if you are not able to do it yourself – indicate our address and we, helping the poor and homeless, will do it on your behalf.

We do not judge. We do not ask why your life has turned out the way it has. We don’t even ask about your past if you don’t want to talk about it yourself. We help.
Our mission is to help the homeless and the poor. We try to imitate the holy life of Brother Albert, extending a hand to anyone who needs it from us. We support people in need mainly materially by offering them a roof over their heads and a warm meal, but also spiritually by praying for their lost souls. Not all of those who come to us are believers, but we do not force anyone to believe or pray. We try to help such people to find God – but only with their consent. So when you come to us, you are given the choice whether you want to enjoy the love of the Lord with us, or whether you prefer to wait and see. In either case, we will not refuse you shelter and a meal. You can live in our small commaunity where we all support each other, becoming one big family that you can truly trust.
Love the other person
We can never fully understand another person’s problems and ailments if we have not been in the same situation ourselves. It is easy for us to give advice and say what we would do if we were in someone else’s shoes, but the truth is that we cannot know until it has actually happened to us. So we have no right to judge anyone, but at most we can compare someone else’s choices and decisions to our own, if we have any.
We believe that in the suffering of others and our own we not only find Jesus, but we also get to know ourselves. We learn co-suffering, as well as sensitivity, which is becoming rare in today’s society. Let us remember that no one is free from suffering. Everyone experiences their smaller and bigger dramas every day. However, depending on how we make use of this suffering, this is how our lives will turn out. Not everyone has the strength to fight against adversity, some give up, some fall. It is to such people that we reach out our hand, bringing help to the homeless in Krakow.
In suffering we learn to love our neighbour. John Paul II once said that “in various places man suffers and cries out for man”. What does this mean? That we should simply notice the suffering, not pass them by without a word, ignoring the fact of their existence, but come to them with a heart open to goodness. To see the human in the human – just like that.
